Meet Lucie

Lucie Simone has a passion for travel, writing and yoga. She has a degree in Journalism, a Master of Fine Arts in Television Production, and is a certified yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance. Her program, Yoga for Writers, incorporates simple breathing techniques and gentle yoga stretches along with writing exercises to allow for uninhibited creative thought.

As a yogi, Lucie began her practice in 1998 and has trained with some of the most respected yoga teachers working in the field today. She earned her 200 hour teaching certificate in 2009 and followed that up by earning her 500 hour certificate in 2012. She has worked with yogis at every level of experience, from Power Yoga aficionados to cancer survivors. Lucie’s classes and workshops provide a nurturing practice for people of every age, size, shape and level of fitness.

As an author, Lucie’s short story, A Taste of Italy, won the New York Book Festival competition for best e-book and is a bestseller at Amazon UK. Her debut novel, Hollywood Ending, a romantic comedy about life in Hollywood for the not-so-rich-and-famous, has been highly praised by Chick Lit fans and bloggers, and her Granny absolutely adored it, despite all the sex. Look for Lucie’s second novel, Picture Perfect, August 31st. Chick Lit with a Mystery twist, Picture Perfect takes readers on a whirlwind tour through the darker side of showbiz and does it all with a heaping helping of humor, romance and suspense.

Lucie is also the owner of the up and coming small press, Simon & Fig, which publishes Chick Lit, Lad Lit and Women’s Fiction exclusively. Pick up a Simon & Fig title, and you’ll see why she works so hard to make readers smile.
